This is a short course offering an introduction to the identification of UK reptiles and amphibians and suitable survey monitoring methods: Kindrogan is known to be the home of four species of amphibian and at least two reptile species. The course will involve fieldwork late into the evening.
You will learn: where and how to carry out safe bottle trap setting for newts - Egg searching for newts
Torch sampling - Prepping and Setting 'rep-tile' matt transects - Identifying likely spots for catching target species - Looking for tracks and signs - Licensing and the law for Reptiles and Amphibians in the UK.
