Great Crested Newt Survey and Interpretation

Undertaking and correctly interpreting a great crested newt survey is essential before any decisions that may have consequences for great crested newts can be made. This workshop is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to carry out and interpret great crested newt surveys to a high standard. A quality survey is the basis for decisions regarding:

·    Impact assessment

·    Development control

·    Land management

·    Habitat creation

·    Mitigation design

·    Distribution at a site and landscape level

The workshop is designed for anyone who wishes to undertake great crested newt surveyors including those who are working towards a licence and those who already have a licence but wish to expand their knowledge.
